The László Z. Bitó '60 Conservatory Building
Completed in 2013, the new two-story 17,000 sq. ft. László Z. Bitó ’60 Conservatory Building houses 15
learning studios including two percussion studios, a teaching classroom, a student lounge, student i
nstrument lockers, the main Conservatory office and a 150 seat performance space that is equipped with
the latest audio and video recording and live-streaming technology. The conservatory uses geothermal
wells and heat pumps and follows Bard’s environmental best-practice standards. Ashley Mechanical, Inc.
worked alongside Kirchhoff-Consigli Construction Management during the construction where we were
responsible for $1.8 Million Dollars of HVAC Equipment installed.
Bard College
Bard College, founded in 1860 as St. Stephen's College, is a private liberal arts college
in Annandale-on-Hudson. The campus overlooks the Hudson River and Catskill Mountains,
and is within the Hudson River Historic District, a National Historic Landmark.
