Hancock Center, completed in 2011, overlooks the Hudson River from atop a bluff in the heart of Marist’s Campus. This new 57,664-square-foot home for School of Computer Science and Mathematics houses the College's School of Computer Science and Mathematics, including faculty offices, nine classrooms, six conference/seminar rooms, and three computer labs. Ashley Mechanical worked alongside Bill Mergl of Kirchhoff-Consigli Construction Management during the two-year construction. The project was one of five projects in all of New York state to be awarded with an Build New York award by the Associated General Contractors. Ashley Mechanical, Inc. was responsible for $2.9 Million dollars of Plumbing and HVAC ductwork installation.

Award winning Robert A.M. Stern Architects honored the traditional Gothic architecture exampled throughout the campus, while incorporating green technology and environmental design. Dennis Murray, University president was quoted, "It's an environmentally-friendly building but it looks like a much older, traditional, classic building," The Hancock Center includes sustainable features, such as a green roof for absorbing and filtering rainwater, energy efficient lighting that brightens or dims depending on the time of day, and the use of sustainable materials.

The site was established in 1905 by the Marist Brothers, a Catholic Religious Institute, and the college was chartered in 1929. The college consists of six undergraduate schools and one school for working professionals. Approximately 4,500 undergraduate students attend.
